| POSITION SUMMARY The primary responsibility for the Marketing Representative II position is to work in conjunction with the entire Southeast team and the Senior VP of Marketing to profitably manage the Company’s agency distribution network by providing field marketing support throughout Tennessee. This position is accountable for attracting, securing and retaining profitable business for all of the Company’s business segments. This position will deliver an unparalleled level of service to the Company’s agency partners with the ultimate goal of achieving annual business goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the management of the Company’s agency distribution network. Monitor agency performance through regular personal visits to each active agency; recognize and troubleshoot areas of difference and plan/recommend corrective action for profitable results. Coordinate and monitor visits with other Company representatives.
- Coordinate annual agency business planning and regularly monitor results, recommend and take action when necessary.
- Prospect, qualify and recommend for appointment agencies in assigned territory in order to build and maintain a profitable agency distribution network. Set-up and maintain all new agencies within the Company database.
- Advocate the Company as carrier of choice to new and prospective agencies; promote new products and services and assist in identifying new product opportunities and/or enhancements of current products.
- Serve as an expert in the Company’s product lines and increase submission activity with each agency for all operating entities, including P&C, L&H and TPA offerings. Work collaboratively with Group Sales Representatives to achieve cross-selling objectives.
- Assist with the technical management of the Company’s Agency Agreement, Profit Incentive Plan and commission plans within assigned territories.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree required in Business or Marketing, 3-5 years P&C experience, multidisciplinary background prefer specific experice in marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to build relationships with agency partners and prospects.
- Ability to promote and sell the Company’s products and services to the marketplace; ability to represent the Company in a professional manner; ability to make presentations to large groups of people.
- Ability to attend insurance industry/business functions to promote and present a positive image of the Company.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Analytical ability to make profitable decisions about agency partners.
- Ability to analyze the competitive markets, identify trends and make recommendation to remain competitive in market.
- Attention to detail in presenting information, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with various constituencies and at all levels; both in and outside of the organization including agency partners, outside customers and client.
- Ability to travel regularly, approx. 50% includes frequent overnight; valid driver’s license required.
